Chia love

Chia seeds have fast become one of my favourite super foods. They’re so easy to add to your diet. Either have them in water or sprinkle on muesli, salads or smoothies. Just as long as you don’t heat them they will provide countless health benefits and a crunchy, nutty texture. Even the kids will love them!

Chia seeds are unsurpassed for bowel health. They’re gluten free and contain both soluble and insoluble fibre, they keep the bowel regular and sweep away toxins. I prefer chia seeds to psyllium husks, especially if chronic constipation is present, as they move through the intestines without causing bloating and are much more nutritious.
